Special Charges

If the car is returned to another city, a service fee will have to be paid. The minimum fee is $45.00 but if the fee is more by multiplying the normal rate by the distance between the renting city and actual location, that will be the sum.

Fines 
Renter is liable and will pay all fines imposed for all parking and driving violations, and will remit payment directly to the proper authorities. 

Operation
Unless prior arrangements, No other persons will operate the vehicle 

Damages to Vehicle
The Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) will be limited to $500.00US bearing in mind that CDW is not Insurance. If CDW is not accepted, you are responsible for a fee of $3000.00(USD)

Theft of Vehicle
If the vehicle is stolen while in the renters possession, renter is responsible for a fee of $1700.00 (USD) 

Indemnification
Renter agrees to indemnify Sacred Heart for any cost, liability, or expense rising out of the use of the car for any unauthorized use or prohibited operation of the vehicle. 

Reposing vehicles 
Sacred Heart can repossess vehicles anytime it is found illegally parked, being used to violate the law or Sacred Heart’s terms or appears to be abandoned. 

Collection 
All charges, fees, and expenses including payment for loss or damage, tampering with or unauthorized repairs to the vehicles will be due at the end of the rental period. If charges are not settled at the end of the rental period, renter pays a late charge of 12% per month on the past balance due. Renter pays any collection cost including attorney fees. If the law permits Sacred Heart may contact renter or renter’s employer at renter’s place of business in connection with collection and charges outstanding. 

Cancellation 
There is a cancellation fee which is applicable on vehicles returned prematurely. Also if the renter arrives on the island and decides to cancel before possession is taken, renter will pay a cancellation fee which is equal to one day.

Repairs 
Renters must not initiate any repairs unless authorization has been given in writing. 

Note
Customers elects to return the vehicle with less fuel than when rented, a refueling service charge will be made. 

Vehicles shall not be operated by any person except the registered renter and the following authorized operators who must be validly licensed to drive and have the registered renter’s prior permission: person 25 and over who are members of renter’s immediate family and permanently reside in the renter’s household; the employee, partner, executive officer, a regular employee of renter, additional authorized operator(s) approved by the lesser in writing. 

  • Customer is liable for all parking and driving violations and must remit payment directly to proper authorities. Renter must report all accidents, notify local police authorities, and complete accident report. 
  • Customer is liable for all damage caused through negligence or abuse of vehicle
  • Customers must inspect the vehicle before accepting the keys 
  • Customer must not initiate any repairs due to collision or upset without consent of Sacred Heart.
